🎯 Microsoft Defender Security Analyst Job Responsibilities Responsibility Description Security by Design Ensure robust Microsoft Defender security practices are embedded throughout software lifecycle Team Collaboration Engage with feature teams in sprint planning, retrospectives, and story refinement Technology Deployment Assist in deploying, testing, and transitioning Microsoft Defender & Sentinel to BAU teams Vendor Engagement Work directly with Microsoft to assess and test new Defender/Sentinel features Incident Support Support internal teams with Defender expertise during security events Market Research Stay updated on Microsoft security trends and best practices across other organizations Backlog Support Contribute to security backlog development and maintenance Knowledge Sharing Actively participate in internal CoEs and promote best practices across the security community
✅ Microsoft Defender Security Analyst Job Requirements Requirement Type Description Security Knowledge Expertise in at least one security domain and understanding of risk appetite settings Defender Experience Experience with Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps) and/or Sentinel Risk Management Willingness to learn or experience with risk frameworks Technical Communication Ability to explain complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences Certifications (Preferred) Microsoft SC-200 and/or SC-900 are advantageous Problem Solving Strong analytical thinking and solution-oriented mindset Implementation Experience with implementing 2+ Microsoft Defender suite components
