Remote Data Centers Analyst Job Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITYDESCRIPTION
STRATEGIC ADVICEProvide strategic advice to CIOs & IT leaders on infrastructure, operations, & cloud strategies.
RESEARCH & ANALYSISConduct comprehensive research on data center trends, technologies, & strategies. Key areas include Colocation & Datacenters, Hybrid Cloud & Multicloud Strategies, Cloud Hyperscalers & Specialty Providers, Data Center Transformation & Consolidation, Edge Computing & Future Data Infrastructure, & Resilience & Disaster Recovery.
INDUSTRY INSIGHTOffer expert guidance on cloud strategies & the future of data centers, advising executives in large & small enterprises, investors, & service providers.
COLLABORATIONWork closely with cross-functional teams to develop in-depth research & analysis addressing the needs of IT leaders & decision-makers.
CLIENT ADVISORYAct as a trusted advisor, delivering actionable insights & recommendations to clients across various sectors, including government & technology providers.
PUBLISHINGAuthor & contribute to research papers, articles, & publications, enhancing Gartner’s visibility as a thought leader.
PRESENTATIONS & CONFERENCESServe as a keynote speaker at industry events, webinars, & client meetings, engaging with key stakeholders & leading projects such as conference chair for Gartner I&O events.

Remote Data Centers Analyst Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTDETAILS
EDUCATIONBachelor’s or advanced degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE10 years of experience, with significant expertise in data center industry standards, design, operations, trends & strategies, cloud strategies, & IT infrastructure.
SKILLS (TECHNICAL & BUSINESS)Strong blend of technical & business skills, with a track record of advising executives & leading strategic projects.
ANALYTICAL & RESEARCH SKILLSExcellent analytical & research skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
COMMUNICATION & PRESENTATIONStrong communication & presentation skills, with experience as a keynote speaker.
TEAM COLLABORATIONDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
THOUGHT LEADERSHIPTrack record of thought leadership through publications, presentations, & contributions to the data center & IT infrastructure community.
CERTIFICATIONS (ASSET)Relevant certifications, such as Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Certified Data Center Management Professional (CDCMP), or others validating expertise in data center technologies & practices.
