Calibration & RepairPerform and supervise high-level calibration/repair of Mechanical TMDE.
Procedure & BudgetingWrite, review, and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets.
UKAS AuditsParticipate in UKAS (ISO 17025) audits and achieve signatory status.
Training & MentoringDeliver on-the-job training to apprentices and team members.
Stakeholder CommunicationCommunicate professionally with technical stakeholders.
Resource ManagementManage resources and calibration workload sign-off.

Mechanical Calibration Engineer Job Requirements

RequirementDescription
ExperienceExtensive experience in a precision Mechanical metrology laboratory.
Quality SystemsUnderstanding of ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
EducationRelevant STEM Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent.
UKAS Signatory (Desirable)Existing UKAS signatory status for Mechanical Calibrations.
Uncertainty Budgets (Desirable)Experience creating measurement uncertainty budgets to ISO 17025 level.
Automation Software (Desirable)Experience with Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams, Labview.
